Surface cleaning technology on the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in dairy farming (EmiReS)
The aim of the project is to achieve a reduction in emissions in dairy cattle barns by applying an adapted surface cleaning technique using a new type of flat relief flooring. The barn floor is cleaned of manure and urine and, if necessary, the surface is wetted with substances that inhibit metabolism, thereby achieving an effective cleaning performance of the surface and reducing other emissions that would otherwise occur.
