Quality intensification on fish and plant products in aquatical systems
The group aims to build up a fish and plant production in aquatical systems. The project deals with a combination of a renewable energy carrier and structures of manufacturing, distribution and commercialisation. The fish (species: Clarias gariepinus) is grown to be sold on the local market. The animal feed is to be optimized and will have impacts on the composition of seafood (Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids; vitamins). The process water is used to grow plants which are also sold on the local market.
