Development of a one-step system for taking blood samples from horses
Objective of the project is the development of a new instrument for plasmapheresis at horses in a one Step process. It is intended to improve animal welfare and efficiency in the horse serum extraction for proteins and other components of the whole blood. The regulary blood collection will be replaced by once.
For a basic conception of the system, research for possible basic devices and a selection of system components was carried out. Besides requirements specification were compiled with regard to animal welfare and economic efficiency.
